Elite Invite 2026: Day 2 Report

Day 2 of the Elite Invite in Leuven concluded with the confirmation of the finalists in the Mixed, Women’s and Open divisions.
Mixed Division
In Pool A, the Mosquitos secured the top seed with a victory over Disconnection. The second semifinal spot was decided in a closely contested match where Padova Rangers defeated Leftovers 15–13. In Pool B, Tiefseetaucher finished first after defeating Deep Space 15–12, while Tartu Turbulence took second place following a 15–8 win against DiscoBolo.
Semifinals:
Mosquitos lost to Tartu Turbulence 10–15 in a game impacted by high temperatures.
Tiefseetaucher defeated Padova Rangers15–11 to advance to the final.
Open Division
Pool A saw the Mooncatchers maintain their lead by defeating Chevron Action Flash 15–13. BFD La Fotta secured their bracket spot by winning on universe point against Bristol, who performed above their initial seeding.
Pool B ended in a three-way tie between Wall City, Clapham, and Cotarica Grandes. Wall City took first place after a 15–13 win over Clapham, while Clapham advanced in second place based on point differential. Cotarica Grandes finished third, missing the semifinals.
Semifinals:
BFD La Fotta defeated Wall City 15–5 in a match lasting 60 minutes.
Mooncatchers defeated Clapham 15–13.
Women’s Division
In Pool A, BFD Shout qualified for the semifinals after defeating Tequila Boom Boom 15–11 and Bristol 15–9. In Pool B, Mooncup secured the top ranking with a 15–10 win over YAKA, while Jinx Midnight recorded their first victory of the tournament, 14–13 against Iceni.
Semifinals:
The semifinal matchups began late Sunday evening:
GRUT took a late lead over YAKA to get into the final. They won 15:12 after Yaka fought back to make their case, but GRUT prevailed.
BFD Shout vs Mooncup: the rematch of last year's final was the top game to watch. Shout took an early lead and held it for a long time, but Mooncup managed to flex their muscles and bring it to Universe Point. Shout finally scored 15:14 after a couple of turnovers from both sides on the last point. → Rewatch here
