This event brings together the elite tier of European Ultimate to solidify rankings ahead of the postseason. As anticipated in the preview, the level of competition has been exceptionally high, characterised by several universe-point finishes and significant shifts in the expected standings. Day 1 has already seen former champions struggle and newcomers prove their worth on the continental stage.

Mixed Division

Pool A

Mosquitos entered the weekend looking to bounce back from a universe-point loss to Tiefseetaucher in Padova. They narrowly avoided another upset in their opener against Leftovers, trailing for the majority of the match before securing a 15-14 win on universe. They followed this with a 15-10 victory over the Cus Padova Rangərs, who had previously defeated Disconnection.

Leftovers kept their semi-final hopes alive with a gritty 15-14 win over Disconnection. Sunday morning at 09:30, the match between Leftovers and the Rangərs will be the deciding factor for semi-final seeding in this pool.

Pool B

Reigning champions Tiefseetaucher continued the momentum from their undefeated run in Padova, delivering a dominant performance against Deep Space. While Deep Space has a historical edge in major finals, they struggled on Day 1, falling out of semi-final contention after additional losses to DiscoBolo and Tartu Turbulence.

The focus now shifts to Sunday morning's 09:30 matchup between DiscoBolo and Tartu Turbulence. Tartu, making their 2026 debut with their well-known core and additions Tannor Johnson-Go and Becky Thompson, must win this game to punch their ticket into the semi-finals.

Women's Division

Pool A

GRUT emerged from Saturday as the pool leaders, affirming the strength shown in their early-season win over Shout in Grenoble. They navigated a difficult match against Bristol (15-13) and survived a 15-14 universe-point battle against European Champions BFD Shout. Tequila Boom Boom remains in contention after a 15-10 win over Bristol.

A high-stakes "must-watch" match is set for tomorrow at 13:00: the Italian Champions Tequila Boom Boom face BFD Shout, with the winner advancing to the semi-finals.

Pool B

The most significant shift occurred in Pool B. Mooncup, currently ranked #1 after their Spring Tour win, faced 3-time Elite Invite champions JinX Midnight. Despite a strong start from JinX, Mooncup authored a massive comeback fueled by seven consecutive breaks to win.

JinX Midnight was later eliminated from semi-final contention after a 15-13 loss to YAKA, marking a rare early exit for them. Mooncup and YAKA move forward into the next round.

Open Division

Pool A

In a notable development, Bristol stepped in to fill the vacancy left by the Swedish representatives and immediately made their presence felt. Their victory over Chevron Action Flash proved they belong at the elite level. Now they have a chance to punch their semi-final ticket if they win against BFD La Fotta on Sunday at 11:15.

The pool highlight was a high-intensity matchup between Mooncatchers and BFD La Fotta, which Mooncatchers won 15-13.

Pool B

Clapham maintained their steady form with a 15-11 win over GRUT, continuing their winning streak against the Dutch side this season. Wall City, who famously defeated Clapham at the 2025 EUCF, recovered from a 15-11 loss to the London side to defeat GRUT.

The group remains open as the tournament looks toward the GRUT vs. Cotarica Grandes matchup. This game is pivotal: a win for GRUT could create a three-way tie scenario, while a victory for Cotarica would solidify their own path to the semi-finals.

Semi-finals for all divisions are scheduled for Sunday afternoon, with the finals to follow on Monday.
