Call for Applications: Event Management Assistance

The European Ultimate Federation (EUF) is looking for a motivated Event Management Assistant to support our event operations and communication throughout the European club season.

About the Role

This position offers the opportunity to directly coordinate and develop Ultimate events across Europe. You will work closely with the EUF Event Manager to support communication, coordination, and administrative tasks with all stakeholders — including athletes, clubs, national federations, and tournament organisers.

The role is ideal for someone who is organized, communicative, and eager to grow into a more senior event management position over time.

Main Responsibilities

  • Support event-related communication with teams, federations, and organisers

  • Assist with administrative and logistical event management tasks

  • Help maintain timelines, documentation, and coordination tools

  • Support the collection and organization of event data and registrations

  • Contribute to clear and timely information flow before, during, and after events

Profile

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Reliable and proactive working style

  • Comfortable working in an international and digital environment

  • Interest in sports event management (Ultimate experience is an asset)

  • Interested in exploring new visions and development for Ultimate in Europe

  • Good (C1 Level) written and spoken English (other European languages are an asset)

  • Understanding of association frameworks and working with volunteers

Position Details

  • Workload: ~10 hours per week

  • Contract type: Geringfügige Anstellung - 551,10€/month

  • Location: Remote, in Austria due to funding restrictions (Vienna or Vienna surroundings is an asset)

  • Start: As soon as possible

Initially, this role will focus on shadowing the current Event manager to grow into the role and document standardised set ups. We offer hands-on learning in event coordination and communication, with the potential to assume additional responsibilities over time. Collaboration with Stakeholders and other staff members is expected, as well as participation in Jour fixe. It is not required to work at event locations to fulfil this role.
