European Masters Ultimate Club Championships 2026 to Be Hosted in Heilbronn, Germany

Vienna, November 6, 2025

The European Ultimate Federation (EUF) and the European Flying Disc Federation (EFDF) are pleased to announce that the European Masters Ultimate Club Championships (EMUCC) 2026 will take place from May 8–10, 2026, in Heilbronn, Germany.

The event will be held at Viehweide 25, 74080 Heilbronn, welcoming Europe’s top Masters, Grand Masters, and Great Grand Masters teams across Mixed, Open, and Women’s divisions.

Andrea Furlan, EUF President, said: The Master Club Championship will be a great stepping stone for the Master Division to present Europe at the World Championships later that year in Nottingham. The EUF is very happy to have a strong tournament partner in Heilbronn and the German Federation. Lennart and his Team hosted many tournaments already, and the EMUCC can continue on these strong shoulders.

Pre-registration for national federations is now open, with applications due by February 15, 2026. The Masters, Grand Masters, and Great Grand Masters divisions offer competition for athletes born before the following years:

  • Master Male-Matching: 1993

  • Master Female-Matching: 1996

  • Grand Master Male-Matching: 1986

  • Grand Master Female-Matching: 1989

  • Great Grand Master Male-Matching: 1979

  • Great Grand Master Female-Matching: 1981

Divisions must have at least four teams to qualify as Championships. If necessary, smaller divisions may merge with the next possible category. The Women’s Masters, Grand Masters Mixed, and Great Grand Masters Open divisions are expected to run over two days if standalone participation allows.

Robert Klein, Chair of the Ultimate Division in the German Federation, said: The German Frisbee Sports Federation (DFV) is happy to have a large Ultimate tournament in Germany next year! Within the Heilbronn region, there is a lot of experience to make EMUCC 2026 a success. After last year's Summer Invite, we are looking forward to welcoming teams from many European nations again. With the current membership entry of the DFV to the German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB) and the way paved for the World Games in Karlsruhe in 2029, the Ultimate community in Germany is excited to add another highlight to their calendars!

The EUF Masters Strategy envisions annual competitions for these age divisions, club  teams competing annually except for the 4th year, where the national team championships take place (next edition in 2029) to encourage growth and connectivity. The 2026 EMUCC continues this mission, providing a platform for experienced players to showcase their skill and passion for Ultimate.

Lennart Vollmer, Tournament Director, shared: After several years of organising EUF Summer Tour events, we’re really happy to write the next chapter of Ultimate Frisbee events in Heilbronn. We’re doing our best to make EMUCC 2026 a highlight for the athletes, our spectators, and to help us grow the local Ultimate community. See you in May!
