Masters Championships take over Lund
The European Masters Ultimate Championships (EMUC 2025) will take place in Lund, Sweden from July 16–20. Hosted at Klostergårdens IP, the tournament will feature national teams competing in Masters, Grand Masters, and Great Grand Masters divisions across Mixed, Open, and Women categories.
Key Dates & Format
Wednesday, July 16: Opening Ceremony in Stadsparken with a flag parade and showcase match
July 17–19: Group-stage matches across all divisions
Sunday, July 20: Placement games and finals
Division Overview
Masters Women – Defending champions: France
8 teams will compete in two pools of four. After pool play, teams will move into power pools to determine placement in the championship bracket (1st–4th) or classification bracket (5th–8th).
Masters Mixed – Defending champions: Sweden
With 7 teams in a single round-robin pool, each team will play all others. The top four will advance to semifinals, while the remaining teams will play additional games to determine final placements.
Masters Open – Defending champions: Great Britain
12 teams are split into two pools of six. After initial pool play, a set of crossover games (2v3 and 4v5) will determine advancement to the upper (1–4), middle (5–8), or lower (9–12) placement brackets. Teams will then compete within their respective brackets to determine final standings.
Grand Masters Open – Defending champions: Denmark
Five teams will play in a single round-robin pool. Based on standings, crossover games (2v3 and 4v5) will lead to final placement games to decide overall rankings.
Great Grand Masters Open – Defending champions: Italy
Four teams will compete in a round-robin format, followed by a knockout bracket to determine final placements.
What to Expect
1. High-Level Masters Competition
Teams from across Europe will compete at a high level in all five divisions. The tournament provides an opportunity to see experienced players in action and enjoy the unique atmosphere of Masters Ultimate.
2. Central Location
Lund offers a welcoming setting, with the venue located near the city centre. Alongside the games, participants and visitors can enjoy local food options and cultural highlights.
3. Community Gathering
EMUC is also a chance for the community to reconnect. For many, it’s an opportunity to meet old friends, revisit familiar rivalries, and share in the values of spirit and fair play that define the sport.

For those watching from home, games will be streamed on live.ultimatefederation.eu. Coverage will include 2–3 showcase fields throughout the tournament, allowing fans to follow key matchups and finals across multiple divisions.
