(**): The last 2 bids in the women division will be assigned by the CSC in June/July once the names and number of the teams entering the various EUCRs in the women division are known.
(***): The last bid in the mixed division will be assigned by the CSC in June/July once the names and number of the teams entering the various EUCRs in the mixed division are known.
Qualification modus
Open and women
Bids are assigned as usual at the EUCR. The target period is August (for most regions generally end of August)
Mixed
The CSC would like to have EUCRs in the mixed division in all regions.
Since the development of mixed teams, which are independent from open and women ones, is very different among Europe, the CSC decided to have the regional committee suggest the qualification modus, which better fits in the region.
The possibility are (in order of preference)
1) EUCR tournament where teams must qualify in order to enter the XEUCF . This tournament can be part of the EUCR for open & women or a standalone one in another period.
2) Use the results of a mixed tournament where all interested teams will participate in.
3) no tournament is played. Qualified teams are nominated according to the national results or to those of a tournament in the past. This option is only possible when the number of interested teams is equal or slightly higher of the available bids and there are objective criteria to compare and rank the teams.
Regional committees must inform the CSC about the qualification modus selected and the date when the qualified teams will be defined within February 28th.
Masters
Masters teams qualify directly to XEUCF.
Registration will open in January.
If there will be more than 10 teams interested, the CSC will make the selection.
Eligibility
Each team entering the European Ultimate Championship Series in any division (Open, Women, Mixed or Master) must submit its roster at the beginning of the season.
No player is allowed to be rostered by more teams, also in different divisions.
This means that players will have to decide at the beginning of the EUCS season if they will play e.g. Open/Women or Mixed.
As usual, all players of teams that do not qualify to the next EUCS stage will lose their rosters and can be added to another team in any division, where they are eligible, according to the limits defined in the EUCS eligibility rules.
