EUIC 2022: Call for National Team preregistration

As announced we start in May the pre-registration for the European Ultimate Indoor Championship (for national teams).

Tournament details
The European Ultimate Indoor Championships (EUIC) will be played in Denmark, March 17-20, 2022 in three divisions; men’s women’s and mixed with 16 teams in all three divisions. The venue is Sportscenter Herning ( which was also used for the EUICC 2020 with the addition of two newly constructed halls. The venue cafeteria has a new manager so hopefully improved food options. Accommodation options will be the same and shuttle bus service will be equivalent to the last event, i.e. free service within the city for registered participants and airport transfer shuttle service upon request at a reasonable price.
National Federations are kindly invited to preregister their national teams through this google form ( ) no later than Sunday May 30 - and given the global Covid-19 pandemic that may still influence event planning as well as international travel, any NFs declining to register teams are encouraged to explain reasons for not doing so in the comments section.
Financial aspects 
Teams will be selected by the EUF mid/late June and must register through the Ultimate Central event site - DEADLINE AUGUST 15TH! - and will receive information on how to book and pay for accommodation through our partner agency during August.
We are negotiating deals with a hostel and some hotels - so prices are approximate and to be confirmed! All including breakfast! See map for location:
Danhostel Herning (50 m from venue) - max capacity 184 persons
Prices: rooms of 4, 5 and 6 beds at € 155, 180 and 205 respectively per night (bring your own linen or rent at an additional € 11) with breakfast included
Motel Poppelvej - max capacity 48 persons
Prices per night including linen and breakfast: double room € 96-109, triple room € 117, and quadruple € 136
Østergaards Hotel - max capacity 60 persons
Prices from € 116 per double room per night with breakfast included
Hotel Corona - max capacity 50 persons
Prices from € 123 per double room per night with breakfast included
Hotel DGI Huset Herning - max capacity 175 persons
Prices from € 136 per double room per night with breakfast included
Hotel Scandic Regina - max capacity 240 persons
Prices from € 166 per double room per night with breakfast included (possibility of an extra bed at € 30 per night)
Expected Fees
Team fee € 500

Shuttle buses between venue and accommodation included in the fee.
Lunch and dinner available from the venue cafeteria at reasonable prices, meal plan ready for order in October. Estimated prices for lunch € 7 and for dinner € 16.
Airport shuttle upon request between Billund Airport and Herning at approximately € 7 per person.
Captains meeting planned for Wednesday March 16th in the evening at Sportscenter Herning. 
Games from 08.00 to 20:00 Thursday, Friday and Saturday with some (top bracket) placement games and finals on Sunday and expected closure at 15:00. Total number of games 9-10 with maximum 3-4 games per day.
Roster size: minimum 10 and maximum 16 players with 2 national federation pick-up players allowed.

In case of event cancellation
Should the event be cancelled or teams wish to withdraw, fees will be refunded in full up to 90 days prior to the event. Up to 45 days prior to the event, fees will be refunded with 50%, and after 45 days fees are not refunded.

Cancellations of or changes for hotel bookings
Individual hotel reservations
If cancellation occurs more than 15 days prior to your arrival date, you will receive a full refund. If a notification of cancellation is received between 14 and 3 days prior to the arrival date, the reimbursement is subject to a penalty of 25% of the total cost. If cancellation is received 2 days before the arrival date, you will receive no refund.
Group Hotel Reservations (more than 10 nights in total)
- Until 60 days prior to the arrival date, the entire group can be cancelled free of charge. After this point in time, no more than 50% of the reservation can be cancelled in accordance with the following rules:
- Until 30 days prior to the arrival date, up to 30% of the original number of reservations can be cancelled free of charge
- Until 15 days prior to the arrival date, up to 10% of the original number of reservations can be cancelled free of charge
- Until 7 days prior to the arrival date, up to 3% of the original number of reservations can be cancelled free of charge
- Until 3 days prior to the arrival date, up to 1% of the original number of reservations can be cancelled free of charge
In the case of later cancellations than what is stated above, full payment will be charged for the additional number of cancelled rooms.
In the case of no shows, late arrivals or early departures, the hotel is entitled to compensation corresponding to the full price of the complete, booked event.
A cancellation is when a customer wholly or partly makes a cancellation, reduction, relocation, or similar changes to the agreed upon hotel services. Hotel packages can only be cancelled in full. All cancellations must occur in writing to OrgaNicer on weekdays before 3pm.
Cancellation due to Covid-19 restrictions
In case af cancellation or postponement of the event due to increased Covid-19 restrictions or enforcement notices from the authorities in Denmark or your own country, the room reservation can be cancelled free of charge prior 30 days before arrival and any prepayment will be refunded as well.
Please note when travelling to Denmark, you are responsible for checking whether your country of residence is classified as open or banned by the official Danish authorities. Please also remember to check for any domestic restrictions in your own country.
