EUF and TOC postpone EUIC in Herning to 2022

Dear European ultimate community,

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the EUF and local TOC have decided to postpone the EUIC until 2022. The main reasons for this decision being that the pandemic is still very much a health threat on our continent and may continue to be so in many European countries for months to come. At presentmany national borders are closed and even if they should reopen before winter, international travel will most likely not have fully restored by then. In addition, the timing of when especially indoor sports can resume remains uncertain, leaving a very limited timeframe for national teams to have actual indoor practices.

The European Ultimate Indoor Championships (EUIC) will take place in Herning, Denmark, from Thursday January 27 to Sunday January 30, 2022.

The expected timeline will be :
Call to national federations in April 2021
Preregistration of national teams in May 2021
Announcement of selected national teams in June 2021
Registration of national teams with payment of team fee in August 2021
Booking of accommodation in September 2021
Payment of player's fees in October 2021
Ordering airport transfers and meals in November 2021

The venue will be the same as for EUICC 2020 that some of you are already acquainted with. As a bonus to all of us, by 2022 we expect to have a newly constructed main arena at our disposal as well as a replacement of the cafeteria management.

You may still reach the Danish TOC by email euic2021@dfsu.dk that for nostalgic reasons will not be changed.
