Call for bids EUC2019
Introduction |
This is the call for bids for the European Ultimate Championship (EUC) in the divisions Open, Women and Mixed.
The EUF national teams Championship is played every 4 years. The last one was in Copenhagen in 2015. The EUC 2019 will determine which nation will be the European Champion in the division Open, Women and Mixed. |

7 days from Sat. Evening (Opening Ceremony with opening game) to Sat. afternoon (all finals and medal ceremony) |

In the previous events the average number of players was 20-25/team. |
Venue: |
The absolute minimum are 12 WFDF-regular fields for 7 days of play. A WFDF-regular field measures 100m x 37m + 5m restrain lines around it. WFDF-conform field size (90m x 33m + 3m restrain lines) is tolerated but should not be the standard. Please provide the size of the single fields in your bid. Please provide a plan in case of rain (e.g. additional fields available, turf fields, etc.)
Football goals must be removed or protected, for the safety of the players. Having all pitches on 1 site is an asset. Please add in the bid a google map link of the venue(s) and describe the grass quality. |
Staff/Volunteers: |
Please consider a minimum of 36 Scorekeepers (each scoring 4 games out of 6 per day - at the EUC2015 there were about 48); max 4 Person in the core organization team; 2 persons per venue to manage infrastructure issues; 2 persons dedicated to the TV crew; 3-4 persons in back office at the information booth, scheduling, volunteer management.
EUF will provide 3-6 persons to run the competition part of the tournament with the roles of Director of Competition, Tournament Ruling Group, Spirit of the Game Responsible. The EUF expenses must be considered in the Tournament Budget. 2-3 Photographers and 2-3 Journalists/Editors must take care of updating the social media. |
Accommodation: |
Please indicate if you plan to offer a central accommodation and to organize a shuttle service. Please add in the bid a google map link of the accommodation and the distance to the venue(s). |
Food: |
Drinking water must be available at each pitch. Please indicate where and how you plan to provide meals and the indicative costs. |
Reachability: |
Indicate how the tournament location can be reached (distance to airports, public transportation system,…). |
Social Events: |
The closing party for all players (about 1600) is on Friday evening. Please shortly describe the plan for the social events. |
Media Visibility and Live Streaming: |
The first goal for a tournament organization must be that the customers (=the players) get what they came for: good regular fields, smooth organization of the competition. EUF wants to stream from 2 pitches (as fall back just from 1) the entire event. The streaming requirements are: · 20 Mbit/s Upload internet connection (the half for just 1 field) · 1 Scaffold or TV Tower per field facing the grand stand, 15m from the sideline · 1 Tend/Box for the TV Director and Broadcast equipment per field (if fields are close to each other it can be shared) WLAN or DataSIMs and eventually mobile devices must be provided for live scoring on the fields. Additionally please indicate if and how you plan to increase the tournament visibility (posters, flyers, advertisements, etc.) and which budget you reserve for this. |
Gifts/Trophies: |
Medals will be paid by EUF. Spirit of the Game and Winner Trophies must be covered by the tournament budget or by sponsors. A tournament gift per player is not necessary and should be considered only if covered by a sponsor. Agreements with Sponsors and Merchandize Partners will be either done directly by EUF or in common agreement between the ToC and EUF |
